What a great game Texas Hold’em. Poker has been around for a long time, however in the last 5 years Texas Hold’em has really taken off. I actually play in a Poker League once a week yes this is a local Poker League. Instead of Bowling or Golf or Chess I play in a Poker League. Also I love to play in Texas Hold’em tournament events that give you a challenge for yourself against some of highest rollers on the internet today, so you can really see how you measure up to some of these great players. I joined in an online Texas Hold’em tournament the other day. This tournament had 523 entries and I finished #11. Not to bad, the thing about poker is you have to be patient and to watch how the other players play their chips. Some are so obvious that there bluffing, however the tricky part about poker is that you have watch what is out there on the table so if you have a straight and you think you have just watch out for a possible full boat or flush draw that will give you a great smackdown for not looking at the cards. Don’t play on impulse. Play with your mind and think about what the other player could have and the way that they are betting. That’s about it for Texas Hold’em yes a lot of it is luck, however there is a lot of skill that is needed to know when to bluff or not to bluff. These high stake casino poker tournaments they play when they have something and if you don’t have it you will be knocked out real quick.
